  • Search Committee Training

Beginning April 2016, search committee members will be required to complete search committee training before serving on a committee.  The Office of Diversity and Equity, in conjunction with the Provost’s Office and the Department of Human Resources, has recently updated search committee training. Training workshops now include AA/EEO compliance information, search process steps, and overcoming implicit bias in the search and hire process.

Several sessions have been scheduled this spring to provide search committee members the opportunity to fulfill this training requirement.

    Wednesday, January 27, 1-3:30 pm

    Thursday, February 25, 1-3:30 pm

    Wednesday, March 23, 1-3:30 pm

    Tuesday, April 26, 9-11:30 am

    Wednesday, May 25, 1-3:30 pm

All sessions are located in the Homer Babbidge Library Class of 1947 Room.

Search files in Recruiting Solutions will include documentation of committee members who have attended/registered for training. For searches beginning after April 1, 2016, search committee training status will be verified prior to search approval. Committee members who have attended training after August 2014 have been given credit for their attendance.
