  • 11/3 Grad Students: Make an Impact in Your Career

    Join the UConn Graduate Chapter of Net Impact this Tuesday, November 3rd from 12:30-2:00 pm in the Student Union to learn more about this amazing organization and ways that YOU can get involved today!  

     

    Net Impact is an international organization dedicated to creating positive social and environmental change in the workplace and the world. This grad chapter aims to provide education and involvement opportunities for students to make an impact!  

     

    Net Impact Graduate Chapter has the goal of meeting the unique and changing needs of graduate students at the University of Connecticut who desire to make a difference through their career.  Net Impact is the leading nonprofit that inspires a new generation to use their careers to tackle the world’s toughest social and environmental problems. Members are empowered to act locally through our vibrant chapter network and connect globally online and through Net Impact's annual flagship conference. 

     

    Through events and programming, the graduate chapter exposes students to options for common good careers, social entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship, as well as enabling members to develop crucial career development and professional skills.

    Food Justice & Food Security: A Career for the Common Good

    Monday, November 9, 6:00-7:00 pm

    Storrs Campus, Dodd - Konover Auditorium

    Come learn how social entrepreneurs, service corps members, and community organizations are working to address Food Justice & Food Security through their work. This collaborative event with the Careers for the Common Good, Dodd Center and Net Impact Graduate chapter, will focus around a panel discussion bring together a variety of individuals from various points in their career to explain small and big ways to address food issues on a personal or professional level.
