The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning invites any interested UConn instructors to participate in an open conversation about teaching on Friday, November 13th, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in ROWE 331E. Topics for this discussion include choosing and using the right tools for teaching and learning:
- Matching teaching methods with learning outcomes
- Making the lecture a learning experience
- Leading effective discussions
- Questioning techniques for discussion and assessment
- Experiential learning activities
- Learning in groups
- Writing-to-learn activities and assignments
All UConn instructors—including adjuncts, visiting faculty, GAs, TAs, APIRs, tenured and tenure-track faculty members—are invited, whether you are currently teaching or not.
