  • Teaching Talk: Teaching At Its Best

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning invites any interested UConn instructors to participate in an open conversation about teaching on Friday, November 13th, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in ROWE 331E.  Topics for this discussion include choosing and using the right tools for teaching and learning:

    • Matching teaching methods with learning outcomes
    • Making the lecture a learning experience
    • Leading effective discussions
    • Questioning techniques for discussion and assessment
    • Experiential learning activities
    • Learning in groups
    • Writing-to-learn activities and assignments

All UConn instructors—including adjuncts, visiting faculty, GAs, TAs, APIRs, tenured and tenure-track faculty members—are invited, whether you are currently teaching or not.

Please contact Stacey Valliere (itl@uconn.edu, 860-486-2686) to register, and contact Laurie Wolfley at Laurie.Wolfley@uconn.edu if you have questions.
