The Alpha Omega Christian club has invited Dr. John Oakes to speak about God and science. Dr Oakes, the president of Apologetics Research Society, will use his knowledge of chemistry, physics, and his knowledge of the bible to give us insight into the relationship between God and science. Are they foe like many people claim, or dose science support the events in the bible? Please come to find out.
John Oakes was born and raised in Connecticut. He earned a bachelors degree in Chemistry at the University of Connecticut in 1977. John became a Christian as a graduate student in December of 1978 as part of a campus ministry in Boulder Colorado. At the time he was a graduate student of chemical physics at the University of Colorado. Having been part of the campus group for 6 years, it was in 1984 that John earned his PhD in chemical physics.
