UConn Announces Informational Website Regarding AAUP Negotiations

UConn and the University of Connecticut Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (“AAUP”) are negotiating a successor collective bargaining agreement to establish terms and conditions of employment for approximately 1500 full-time faculty members. The AAUP agreement also covers part-time adjunct faculty and certain non-academic personnel including coaches, assistant coaches and trainers employed in the Division of Athletics. The AAUP collective bargaining agreement has been extended twice through agreements between the state and the State Employee Bargaining Agent Coalition (“SEBAC”) and has not been subject to full bargaining since July 1, 2007.  The current collective bargaining agreement expires on June 30, 2016.

http://aaupbargaining.uconn.edu/  is a website developed to keep the UConn community informed about collective bargaining between the UConn administration and the AAUP in a manner that is consistent with the ground rules that have been established for the negotiations. Proposals, tentative agreements and other material relevant to the negotiations will be posted to the site as they become available.
