Dear UConn friend and fellow worker,
On October 1st, we begin a new CT State Employee Charitable Campaign (CSEC). It’s going to be a great year because we have a new online tool to make this year’s campaign a big success. We have more than 4,500 dedicated UConn employees who care and we’ve made it easier for all of you to participate. Donations may now be made online.
The CSEC Campaign is your once-a-year opportunity to sign up and donate through payroll deduction to any one of more than 700 non-profit charities. You also have the option to give a one-time donation. Many of us choose local charities, such as the Hole in the Wall Camp, Foodshare or the Windham Region United Way. Others choose a more global approach by giving to charities such as Doctors without Borders and AmeriCares. Whatever you choose, together, our Connecticut State Employee donations enable a vast network of non-profit agencies to carry out very important work.
Please go online (www.employeegiving.ct.gov), view the directory and choose the charity or charities important to you. You may still follow the link to the print donation form. If you choose this option, please fax your form to Paula at 860-486-0379 or email it to paula.enderle@uconn.edu.
Our goal is to have over 10% participation. Last year we were at 6%. Talk to your friends about the Campaign. Come visit us at the Work/Life Expo or outside Chuck & Augie’s at lunchtime on select Thursdays. Find out which Thursdays in the Daily Digest, where we will be telling you about some of your colleagues who contribute and letting you know where we stand with our goal.
The Campaign runs from October 1st to December 24th. Payroll deductions are spread out over 26 pay periods beginning with the first pay period in 2016.
It’s quick. It’s easy. It’s a chance to be a part of the UConn community doing something big and vital. Please do not hesitate to ask questions by calling or emailing Paula Enderle at 860-486-8478 or paula.enderle@uconn.edu. Or you may visit our website: www.csec.uconn.edu.
Thank you for your support in making this year’s campaign a big success. We look forward to working with you,
Paula Enderle, HR and Lisa Stiepock, UComm
