    CONSTITUTION DAY IS COMING SEPTEMBER 17TH

    HOW DO YOU PLAN TO CELEBRATE?

     

    Join us on Thursday September 17, 2015 for thought-provoking activities (and giveaways!) throughout the day at the Konover Auditorium in the Dodd Center.

    • SEA TEA IMPROV 11:00AM-12:15PM (Konover Auditorium)

    Enjoy Connecticut’s premier improv group as they explore the Constitution in a whole new way!

     

    • STUDENT VOICES 12:30PM-1:45PM (Konover Auditorium)

    Learn what the Bill of Rights means to UCONN students of different backgrounds and cultures through discussion and art.  Panel includes students from UCONN’s Cultural Centers with a broadside created by students from the School of Fine Arts.

     

    • MARRIAGE EQUALITY: WHAT’S NEXT?  2:00PM-3:15PM (Konover Auditorium)

    What are the benefits, challenges, and impact of the recent Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage?  Come hear our panelists and join in the discussion with  Robin McHaelen, from True Colors (http://www.ourtruecolors.org/), Anne Stanback, from Equality Federation (http://equalityfederation.org/), and Rev. Louis Mitchell, from, Transfaith (http://www.transfaithonline.org/ ) and TransSaints (http://www.transsaints.org/).
