UITS is installing a new configuration on the Storrs high-tech classroom computers that will provide instructors with more access to personal resources, such as their P: and Q: drives as well as virtual and desktop applications. The updates will begin on August 3rd and be completed before the start of the fall semester.
In order to have this access, instructors will now login with their NetID and password when they begin a session on the computer. UITS will provide default credentials for instructors who do not have a NetID. Other enhancements to the configuration include:
- Logoff reminder utility:
- TightVNC:
- Google Chrome:
- Virtualization services:
