The H. Fred Simons African American Cultural Center of University of Connecticut is deeply grieved over the heartbreaking unfathomable church shooting of nine on June 17, 2015.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, and the families of Pastor and State Senator Clementa C. Pinckney, Rev. Daniel Simmons Sr., Cynthia Hurd, Sharonda Singleton, Myra Thompson, Tywanza Sanders, Rev. DePayne Middleton-Doctor, Susie Jackson and Ethel Lance.
May grace and blessings abound as we begin to heal our broken hearts, our communities and our nation.
