The 2015-2016 Health Care Open Enrollment period for state employees began Monday, May 11, 2015 and ends Friday, June 5, 2015.
Coverage selected during the open enrollment period will be effective July 1, 2015 through to June 30, 2016. The annual open enrollment period is the only time employees may change health plans or the dependents they cover without a qualifying status change. It is also the time when employees can change their Health Enhancement Program (HEP) election.
Plan Updates
Information on plan offerings and changes for the upcoming year is posted on the Office of the State Comptroller’s Open Enrollment 2015 website, and includes the 2015 Employees Health Care Options Planner, a Schedule of the 2015 Open Enrollment Fairs being held throughout the state, and a 4-minute tutorial on the Health Enhancement Program.
Enrollment Change Forms
Employees interested in making changes may request enrollment change forms from the Benefits Unit at benefits@uconn.edu or (860) 486-0400. As a reminder, any employee adding a dependent to his or her insurance is also required to provide proof of the relationship, such as a marriage license for a spouse or a full-length birth certificate for a child.
Storrs Campus Open Enrollment Fair is Friday, May 29, 2015
The 2015 Open Enrollment Fair on the Storrs campus will be held on Friday, May 29th, 9 am to 3 pm in the Student Union Ballroom. Representatives from the insurance carriers will be available to answer questions and assist employees with their open enrollment decisions.
Enrollment Deadline is June 5, 2015
Completed forms with supporting documentation must be received in Human Resources by June 5, 2015.
