  • Today: UConn's NSF I-Corps Site Launch Events

    Please join the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to launch Accelerate UConn, the University’s new National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps Site.  Up to 40 faculty-student teams can receive funding, education, and mentorship to help develop startup ideas. 

    Celebrating with us at the Storrs Launch will be Anthony (Tony) G. Viscogliosi, Co-Founder of Viscogliosi Brothers, the first venture capital/private equity and merchant banking firm dedicated to the musculoskeletal/orthopedics sector of the healthcare industry. In addition, Mr. Viscogliosi has founded over 20 companies and funds, generating nearly $1.8 billion in investment capital returned to investors, and $2 billion for businesses in the orthopedic industry.

    Our Stamford event will feature a talk from Tim Hidu, CEO of Sea Green Organics, a company that produces a patented organic liquid fertilizer developed with UConn Plant Science.Tim, a UConn grad and current UConn MBA student, founded the company at the Stamford Learning Accelerator.

    This program is designed to inspire faculty, post docs, and/or students to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Learn more at one of our launch events:
