The UConn Collegium Musicum presents "The Play of Saint Agnes,” a thirteenth-century drama from Provence, as it might have been heard in the court of Pope Alexander VII ca. 1660. The performance includes incidental instrumental music from Susato’s Danserye, motets by Geszin and Palestrina, and Gregorio Allegri’s famous Miserere. The play’s Spoken dialogue will be performed in English.
