Current parking permit holders who opted to renew their privileges can expect to receive their 2015/16 permits via the University’s intercampus mail within the next ten days. The distribution “Special” Area 2 parking permits, which are issued to Area 2 permit holders with State issued handicap placards, has been delayed and will occur in approximately four weeks as the result of a printing error. Please remember that employee parking permits will not be “renewed” for those with outstanding parking citation balances.
During the 2015/16 permit year, electronic Key Cards will again be required to gain ‘permit’ access to our parking garages. As you know, Key Cards are issued at the time garage permits are initially purchased and active across consecutive years for those who pay for their parking via payroll deduction and opt annually to maintain their garage parking privileges. While garage parking hangtags will no longer be issued, those with garage parking privileges are still authorized to park in any unreserved Area 2 and Area 3 surface parking space just as before; your license plate will serve as your parking permit when parked in those locations.
