Providence based ceramic artist & Connecticut College Professor of Art Denise Pelletier, and sculptor & Rhode Island School of Design Faculty Member Bayne Peterson will each speak about their work, highlighting the interaction of traditional processes and digital technology in the conception and making of their objects and installations. In the afternoon, the artists will introduce and demonstrate approaches to computer aided design and fabrication in the Sculpture/Ceramics Area Digital Arts Materials Lab. The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Art & Art History and the Management and Engineering for Manufacturing Program, a joint Program of the School of Engineering and the Business School.
