Special Events and Receptions

  • 4/1 Liberty in North Korea Event

On Wednesday April 1st, at 3:30 PM in Konover Auditorium, UConn will proudly host representatives from Liberty in North Korea (LiNK).  Please help spread the word about this event by sharing news of this presentation with anyone who might be interested.

Liberty in North Korea is a nonprofit organization based out of Torrance, California and Seoul, South Korea.  The organization rescues North Korean refugees hiding in China and relocates them in South Korea or the United States.  If caught, these refugees would be forcibly sent back to North Korea and face harsh punishments.  In addition, LiNK raises awareness of human rights issues in North Korea through research, documentaries, and presentations like this one.

The LiNK team will deliver a presentation, take questions, and provide material about how you can play a part in aiding the people of North Korea.  If you are interested in North Korea, human rights, or wanting to learn more about the situation in North Korea, then come to this event.  All are welcome.
