UConn Opera Theater is thrilled to present Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore (Elixir of Love) at the Nafe Katter Theatre, UConn Storrs Campus.
Nemorino, a poor peasant, has fallen in love with the beautiful Adina, a wealthy landowner who does not return his affections. Concerned that he might be out-courted by Belcore, an arrogant sergeant, Nemorino enlists the help of the traveling “doctor,” Dulcamara. He tricks Nemorino into buying a “love potion,” which in reality is cheap Bordeaux wine. Join us to find out how this hilarious, romantic plot unfolds!
