The Salon panelists are:
• Felice M. Duffy, Assistant United States Attorney for the New Haven District of Connecticut. During her undergraduate years at UConn she filed a Title IX complaint that led the University to establish a women's soccer program, one of only three teams in the country at the time.
• Joseph Cooper, Assistant Professor in Sport Psychology, NEAG School of Education, Sport Management, whose expertise is in sport management, gender, and race in sport. His research focuses on the intersection of race, sport, culture, and education with emphasis on sport as a catalyst for holistic development and positive changes in society.
Moderator: Steven Wisensale, Professor, Department of Human Development and Family Studies, whose research is in policy matters regarding family, social welfare, human services management, and aging. His interest in baseball has led to the creation of a very popular class at UConn, "Baseball and Society: Politics, Economics, Race and Gender."
Admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted.
Door Prizes include gift certificates from Dog Lane Café and the restaurants at the Nathan Hale Inn.
