As part of the mainframe decommissioning project SARS, the account receivable module of the legacy Student Admin System, will be turned off on April 15, 2015.
The legacy Student Admin System on the mainframe was replaced with the PeopleSoft Student Administrative System between April 2000 and October 2004. With the exception of SARS, all required historical data was archived to PSST Oracle tables as part of that project.
SARS continued to be used to process non-student account receivables (VENFAC) until the implementation of the Kuali Financial System in July of 2012. All the VENFAC data will be converted and archived in Oracle tables. The remaining SARS data listed below will be permanently retired:
AAAAAA - Unknown
ACCT - Unknown
ACTION - Student accounts with overdue balances
AGENCY - Unknown
COLLCT - Student Accounts sent to collection
PTCASH – Used by A/P (possibly used for student refunding)
STFFRD – Stafford federal loans (FA)
STUDNT – Student accounts.
BANKER – Departmental deposits
