  • 2/27 Misportrayals of Women in the Media Film Screening

As part of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, S.H.A.P.E. (Students Helping to Achieve Positive Esteem) will be showing a free screening of "Miss Representation", a documentary which shows how the media underrepresents women limits the portrayals of women. The documentary calls for women to stand up as role models for young women who may be negatively influenced by the misrepresentation of women in the mainstream media. The screening will start at 6:00p.m. in Oak 101. Students are encouraged to bring their friends, snacks, and make themselves feel comfortable! You can RSVP or find more information at SHAPE's facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/799192086822338/
