In honor of National Eating Disorders Week (1/23/15 – 1/17/15), Active Minds has teamed up with Walden Behavioral Care Clinic to bring a guest speaker’s panel to UConn. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 25th at 7:30 pm in the Women’s Center Program Room (Student Union room 421).
The panel will feature the following guest speakers:
- Rebekah Doweyko LPC – Director of Walden Behavioral Care’s South Windsor Location
- Sarah Hewes PhD – Assistant Director of Walden Behavioral Care’s South Windsor Location
- Dr. Osman Qureshi MD – Psychiatrist at Walden Behavioral Care & ECHN
- Christopher Griffin MA – Clinician at Walden Behavioral Care’s South Windsor Location
- Victoria Pavasaris – Recovery Speaker
Topics covered will include: Eating Disorders 101, Athletes and Eating Disorders, Binge Eating Disorder, and a Personal Experience.
