UITS is in the process of decommissioning the mainframe. As part of this on-going effort, the next step is to remove all VM data and documentation files. At this time, this does not apply to Genesys-related data.
Please transfer the data and files you need and are responsible for retaining to your departmental server by December 17, 2014.
Should you wish to permanently destroy your files after the transfer has occurred, consult with the Compliance Office at 860.486.4805 or the University’s Records Management Liaison Officer at 860.486.4507 for applicable policies and procedures.
To assist you with the file transfer, UITS has provided help documentation at VM File Transfer Process. Data containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) should only be moved to a secure server. For any additional assistance with the transfer, contact the Help Center at 860-486-4357 or create a self-help ticket at http://ithelp.uconn.edu.
