    Born in Springfield, Illinois in 1980, Daniel Ballesteros is a third-generation Filipino-American and the son of a telecommunications installation technician and an office manager of a female health clinic in St. Louis, Missouri. He began making photographs in undergraduate school at Webster University in St. Louis. Since then he has received his MFA from the University of Connecticut, and has exhibited his work in Santa Fe, Chicago, New York, and others. He is the recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and in 2012 he was included in the Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward: Emerging Photographers Catalogue and En Foco’s New Works #16 Photography Fellowship Awards.  Funding for this event was provided by the Gus Mazzocca Visiting Artist Fund.
