Research, Funding, and Awards

  • 10/27 Due SHARE/RARE Applications

The online applications for the 2015 Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts Research Experience (SHARE) Awards and the Roper Award for Research Experience (RARE) Awards are now open. Both SHARE and RARE are designed especially for students in the earlier stages of their college career, to introduce them to research in their chosen field and give them the skills they will need for further research projects.

Faculty and students apply in teams for these research apprenticeships. Students are expected to spend 10 hours per week during the spring 2015 semester working on a faculty project. Students receive $1500 (paid out as an hourly wage), and the Faculty mentor receives a $500 professional development stipend. Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on October 27, 2014.
