    Lunchtime Seminar

Providing an opportunity for faculty, graduate students, and professional staff to gather with colleagues to listen, discuss, comment, interact and reflect on a variety of topics to enhance teaching and learning.

The Institute for Teaching & Learning offers the following workshop:

Teaching Students to Think—Critical and Creative Thinking in the Classroom
Many students are coming to us from a competitive, test-focused public school environment in which “correctness” is all. As a result, they may be more interested in achieving high grades than in learning. This session explores techniques for encouraging students to really think in the discipline.
