Please join the UCONN Fire Department on Wednesday October 8th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Fairfield Way, outside of the Student Union, for their first “Fill the Boot” campaign for the MDA, Muscular Dystrophy Association. Help us help them! This event will also be part of fire prevention week. Come out a grab an “Atomic Fireball”. Free key chains, reflective buttons, pens and fire prevention literature to help keep you safe will be available while supplies last. There will be fire apparatus, equipment and fire gear on scene for close up viewing and picture taking. Learn about and try your hands on putting out a fire with our new “Fire Extinguisher Simulator” and then grab the fire hose from our gator for the interactive squirt house. Make sure to stop by and meet “Ember” the Dalmatian. Spread the word…….the MDA needs your help!
