  • 10/9 Philosopher Peter Singer to Give Free Lecture

    World-renowned philosopher and ethicist Peter Singer will give a free lecture on the Storrs campus in honor of this year’s UConn Reads book selection, The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals (2006) by bestselling author Michael Pollan.

    Singer is the Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University and the author of several dozen books focused on bioethics, including Animal Liberation and The Ethics of What We Eat: Why Our Food Choices Matter.

    The free event will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts in Storrs. For more information, visit jorgensen.uconn.edu.
