During the Spring, 2014, the Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) examined its role and opportunities for research initiatives involving students with disabilities. Annually, the Center receives 2-4 requests from principal investigators, both within and outside the University, for access to a student population for voluntary participation in research studies. The Center is strategically planning long-term CSD objectives for research involving “data mining” and to delineate variables relevant to such initiatives. The report, “Recommendations for Research Initiatives at the Center for Students with Disabilities”, provides a summary of activities related to this goal as well as recommendations for future research endeavors.
