  • Windows XP End-of-Life

Beginning April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer support Windows XP. Therefore, Windows XP and all older versions are considered end-of-life operating systems and have been added to the List of Prohibited Information Technology Resources supported by the Information Technology Acceptable Use Policy. As such, starting in Summer 2014 the Information Security Office reserves the right to block network access to end-of-life operating systems.

Please note, although OS X 10.5 and lower are end-of-life operating systems, users will not be blocked at this time.

For assistance migrating off of XP, faculty and staff may contact the UITS Service Desk at Service IT or their local IT administrator.
