“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

During this month, we celebrate the memory of one of the greatest Civil Rights leaders of all time; a leader whose dream encompassed racial and economic equity. His dream called for empowerment and liberation.

We believe that education can transform the lives of the 16 million children who grow up in poverty and empower them to make their dream a reality. The issue of education inequity is at the root of so many of our nations largest issues and is, as Dr. King noted, “a threat to justice everywhere.”

It’s our generation’s time to step up and lead. We can turn things around. You have the power to change things.  Start today: Apply to the 2014 Teach For America Corps at www.teachforamerica.org.

Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates and professionals – of all majors, backgrounds, and career interests - who commit to leading students to academic success for two years in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders in expanding educational opportunity. This year, over 10,000 corps members are teaching in 46 regions across the country, while over 30,000 Teach For America alumni continue working from inside and outside the field of education for the fundamental changes necessary to ensure educational excellence and equity is a reality for all students in our country.

Our next application, Friday, Jan. 24th is approaching quickly so apply ASAP! It only takes a few hours and will change your life forever.
