We are looking for someone who can program a 2 DOF PID position control loop onto a Yaskawa MP3300iec controller which will read the X,Y positions in the gcode being run on the machine and use that information as input for the PID loop to independently control a second gantry.
Accelerate3D provides high speed FDM 3D printing services using a patent pending new machine design allowing large size parts to be printed in a fraction of the time without sacrificing quality. Applications for high speed 3d printing can be found in dozens of industries including architecture, industrial design, and the military. Our proof of concept prototype is already 4x faster than industry standards thanks to our proprietary design and our first part production ready machine will be 10 times faster. We are focusing first on speed because it is consistently one of the biggest limiting factors for the widespread deployment of 3d printing. Next will come a focus on next generation materials for industrial 3d printing and how to adapt them to large size high speed 3d printing.
