International Student and Scholar Services will offer International Graduate Student Orientation for all new Storrs campus graduate students with F and J visas on Monday, August 19th. During orientation we cover important information required for students to maintain their visa status and support their transition to life in the United States.
While we understand that many academic departments are busy with similar orientation activities, please allow your new international students, if possible, to attend the International Graduate Student Orientation through ISSS. Attendance is required for new international students. Please contact ISSS if your program's own mandatory orientation occurs on that same day, so we can make a plan for that student.
