  • 10/26 Future of Food Event at Spring Valley Student Farm

You are invited to an interactive event "Future of Food:  Interdisciplinary Explorations of Research and Programs at UConn and in the Community" at UConn’s Spring Valley Student Farm (SVSF) from 3:00-4:30 on Friday, October 26. This event will highlight service learning and research projects that try to promote more focus on local food systems and diversity (defined in many ways). The event will allow students and community members to visit the farm and talk to people who are exploring different aspects of food production. Stick around afterward for “Farm Friday” where we will celebrate the end of the growing season at Spring Valley Student Farm with a dinner from the farmers (potluck item optional). The SVSF uses organic and regenerative practices in making produce for UConn Dining Services. This event will happen rain or shine.
