  • Benefits of the Community Meal Plan

Cooking Your Own Meal in Your Apartment Tonight?

Why not purchase a Community Meal Plan from Dining Services? That way, whenever you don’t feel like cooking, you can enjoy a delicious and freshly prepared meal in any of our eight dining units. With this plan you purchase a block of twenty-five meals for only $282.00.

    • These meals can be used year-round at any of our dining units, for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night.
    • There is no limit to the amount of meals you can use each day, or the amount of food you care to eat, and if you don’t want to eat alone, you can also swipe in a friend.
    • If you run out of money/meals you can simply purchase additional points in any dollar increment: 1 point = 1 dollar. Or, you can always purchase another Community Meal Plan.
    • Also good to know - any money left on your plan when you leave UConn is refundable.

Another great benefit that comes with your Community Meal Plan is when purchasing food or beverages in our retail operations and paying with your Husky Bucks, you receive a 5% discount off each purchase you make in Union Street Market food court and any of our four UC Cafes (Bookworm’s, Chem Cafe, Up & Atom, and Wilbur’s).

A satisfied student customer commented on the Plan:

“I cook most of my meals in my apartment, so it doesn’t make sense to pay thousands of dollars for unlimited meals, but I love being able to swipe into a dining hall when I am on campus and need a quick energy boost in between classes!”

A wide variety of traditional, urban, ethnic, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, Kosher, etc. foods await you when you purchase a Community Meal Plan. Such a small price to pay for convenience, variety and enjoying meals with your UConn community.
