  • 10/18 Hip Hop Initiative Meeting

Do you love engaging in hip-hop music and culture? Would you be interested in participating in a student rap cypher? Or, are you an aspiring artist looking to showcase their talents to the rest of the student body? If any of these apply, then join the UConn Hip-Hop Initiative!

We offer weekly freestyle cyphers, culture discussions, student showcases, and a chill, fun environment to engage with music, dance, fashion and visual arts. Whether you’re rapping or simply enjoying the culture and making new friends, the Hip-Hop Initiative is a judgment-free zone where people can freely express their thoughts, ideas, and talents through hip-hop.

Meetings are every Thursday from 9pm-11pm in the Student Union: Room 412 in WHUS’s Big Room. Our goal is to create a unified hip-hop community on campus, so tell your friends and spread the word! We hope to see you at one of our meetings!
