Information for Deans, Directors, and Department Heads

  • 2019-20 Catalog Deadlines

It is now time to submit proposals for courses and academic programs for inclusion in the Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs. The deadlines for each catalog are detailed below, but please note that the approval process for some proposals can be lengthy and meeting agendas for approving committees fill up quickly this time of year. Proposals submitted as early as possible have the best chance of meeting the relevant deadlines.

    Undergraduate Catalog

All proposals for courses and academic programs must be fully approved by February 5, 2019, to be included in the 2019-20 Undergraduate Catalog. The Senate’s Course Action Request Form has automated the course approval process and may be used for any course regardless of whether it requires approval by any Senate subcommittees.

As approved proposals are processed, updated proofs of the Undergraduate Catalog are available on the Catalog Changes website: changecatalog.uconn.edu/catalog-files. Departments are encouraged to review their pages on that site to ensure that all submitted proposals have been processed.

    Graduate Catalog

All proposals for courses and academic programs must be fully approved by March 1, 2019, to be included in the 2019-20 Graduate Catalog. See changecatalog.uconn.edu/grad-catalog-proofs to track the progress of approved proposals.
