  • Benton: Summertime Fun

Summer is a great time to visit the museum!

The climate is perfect!  We are air conditioned and admission is free.

We have some cool activities and of course our permanent collection!

Enjoy walking around the beautiful campus. Bring your friends and family and help yourself to the following free activities at the Benton.

The William Benton Museum of Art at the UConn Storrs’ campus now has I Spy and Scavenger hunt activities for children and families.  This is a great activity for kids (best for children ages 5 and up) and some friendly competition between friends and your co-workers.  These fun games can be played at your leisure.  Just go to the front desk of the museum and ask for the I Spy and/or Scavenger hunt activity. If you find all the works of art you will win a prize.

Also visit the museum’s permanent collection at the Gilman Gallery.

From Old Masters to Revolutionaries: Five Centuries of the Benton’s Best Permanent Exhibition.  This exhibition features sculptures, paintings and photography spanning the late 16th century through the mid 20th century.

Enhance your museum experience with the free Guide by Cell Audio accompaniment.
Supplemental information is available to you for select works of art through Guide-by-Cell.
Use your own cell phone to learn more about works on exhibit.
Instructions are available at the museum gallery.
