  • CT AmeriCorps Recruiting (recent college grads)

Do you know a recent college graduate (especially one with an interest in a health and/or education career) looking for a great gap year experience or an impressive resume builder?

Health360 is seeking applicants for the CT Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Network AmeriCorps program. The Connecticut AHEC Network AmeriCorps Program aims to improve academic engagement of economically disadvantaged students through participation in the Youth Health Service Corps (YHSC) and Collegiate Health Service Corps (CHSC) service learning programs. The YHSC and CHSC programs are health careers recruitment programs that engage diverse students as leaders in meaningful service learning that address community health issues.

AmeriCorps members recruit, train and manage students in the YHSC and CHSC programs. Student volunteers are trained to serve in health care settings that serve the underserved. Students are exposed to entry level health care careers and learn how to successfully enter onto upwardly mobile health care career ladders. For more information, please see: https://my.americorps.gov/mp/listing/viewListing.do?id=50056.
