  • 12/14 Transportation Safety/Improvement Public Meeting

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG), the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), the town of Farmington, and city of Hartford are conducting a study to address transportation needs and deficiencies in the areas surrounding UConn Health and the Greater Hartford University of Connecticut (UConn) campus. Recent investments by the state, private sector, and UConn in the areas surrounding UConn Health in Farmington establish the need to study the surrounding transportation networks to support this growth in a sustainable manner. Although the Farmington campus will be the main focal point of the study, a breakout task will also study multi-modal, “last mile” issues associated with UConn’s Greater Hartford Campus in downtown Hartford.

The study’s first public information meeting will be held in the Munson Road training room tomorrow, Dec. 14, 16 Munson Road, Farmington.  The meeting’s format will consist of a 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. open house followed by a presentation and discussion from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
