What is a student hackathon? An event that brings together hundreds of students for a high-energy weekend where they work with a team, most likely made up of strangers, to solve a problem head on. Together, they use technology to transform ideas into reality. Whether you build a website, an app, or a hardware/product hack, the goal is to start from scratch and end with a working prototype. When time runs out, teams demo what they’ve come up with and compete for prizes. It is open to all majors in all years and there will be professional mentors available to provide guidance and support.

This year’s hackathon theme is sports and gaming – some solve problems that exist in these industries! Top prize is $1500. Last year’s winning teams went on with their ideas to compete in Innovation Quest and other competitions.
