Student Organization Events & Information

  • 2/15 Join UConn's National Organization for Women

UConn National Organization for Women will be meeting tonight from 4:30p-5:30p in the Women's Center program room on the 4th floor of the Student Union. We hold meetings every other Thursday night for those interested in feminism and becoming socially active!

Meetings are usually discussion-based regarding campus, local, national, and global feminism. We brainstorm projects on how to solve or improve certain social issues. Our big project currently is #NoShameCampaign which we started last semester to end the stigma of menstruation. We do several tabling events, fundraisers, and donation drives for women's shelters. Overall, we are a dedicated yet low-commitment group. We would LOVE for all members to come to all meetings and volunteer, but we appreciate anything that you would wish to contribute.

Tonight we will be discussing recent breakthroughs and backlash of the #MeToo Campaign as well as an open forum of whatever you want to speak about! Stop by and check us out tonight!

*Please note that even though meetings are held in the Women's Center, EVERYONE is welcome to join, regardless of sex, gender identity, or gender expression.

We can't wait to see all of your wonderful faces tonight!
