  • Important Year-End Tax Info for Student Employees

    W-2 FORMS

    As a reminder, calendar year 2017 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements are available in Core-CT at https://ess.uconn.edu/ for student employees to access.  After logging in to the Core-CT system, employees should click on the “View W-2/W-2c Forms” link in the Payroll box to view and print their W-2 forms.  Separated student employees, and student employees who intentionally elected to receive printed W-2 forms from the Office of the State Comptroller, should have already received their statements in the mail.   

    Please note that Core-CT access is restricted to current/active employees only.  Student employees who are leaving the University should consider printing their 2017 W-2 forms before their access to Core-CT is terminated, as well as paycheck information and prior year W-2 forms. 

    The W-2 form contains sensitive information, including an employee’s name, address and social security number.  If not protected, the unauthorized misuse of this information could result in the filing of false tax returns and identity theft.  We strongly urge individuals to protect their information by taking reasonable precautions, such as not sharing log in credentials, and signing out of Core-CT when finished.  Please be on the alert for phishing scams and other suspicious emails attempting to steal your personal information.
