Speech in Noise Study – Enrolling Participants

You are invited to participate in a study investigating the effects of cognitive abilities on speech in noise performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of mild cognitive impairment on one’s ability to understand speech in noise.

Participants will be asked to complete a hearing and cognition screening. Participants will also complete a test to assess speech in noise abilities. The study should take approximately 1 hour of your time. This study does not involve any risk to you. You will not be paid for this study. However, your participation may lead to a better understanding of the effects of cognition on speech understanding in noise.

You will be given a parking pass for the UConn Speech and Hearing Clinic to be used during your time in the study.
