  • Cinema in the Arab World: Spaces Available

    There are still spaces available for the new LCL course "Arabic Cinema". The course meets once a week on Thursdays (4-7.20pm) in OAK 269. We will be treating, through the medium of film, topics such as women and gender issues in the Arab world, the Arabi-Israeli conflict, the Lebanese civil war, decolonization in North Africa, Islamic fundamentalism. The films -with English subtitles- will be screened in class. No knowledge of Arabic or Film Studies required. 3 Credits.
