UConn Extension and Connecticut Farm Bureau Young Farmers are hosting a showing of the movie Forgotten Farms; a documentary film on Wednesday, November 29th in the Student Union Theater from 7:30-9:30PM. It will be open to students and the public.This movie is about modern dairy farms, and the farmers who run them, and the threat of being left behind in the current small farm, locally grown agriculture movement. After the movie, we will be having a panel discussion with college-age dairy farmers and people involved in the industry. The event is free. UConn Dairy Bar ice cream and Cabot Creamery Co-operative cheese will be served.
