  • 11/30 ISA Presents: Reservations in India (Honors Event)

UConn Indian Students Association (ISA) is proud to present our philanthropy event for the fall semester: "Reservations in India"

Reservations in India are equivalent to the Affirmative Action in America. It refers to the allocation of a certain number of seats in educational institutions and work places based on a person's caste.
Initially created to enforce equality, it is now being seen as jumpstarting corruption. Now the population thinks that the previously less privileged are now too privileged and that is unfair. This debate is never-ending and still seems to be haunting many Indians at night.
    Solution or problem?

Join us for an engaging discussion featuring a guest speaker for an informative and though provoking evening. We will have many activities where attendees will have the opportunity to win gift cards from local eateries.

    When: November 30th

    Time: 6:00PM

    Where: Castleman 212

This event counts as an ***HONORS EVENT****

We hope to see you there!
