Passionate about hackathons and want to contribute to HackUConn's legacy here in your own backyard? Apply to be an organizer of the third iteration of HackUConn. HackUConn is a marathon invention competition held every late-March that last over 24 hours straight and invites students from all over the Northeast to bond over prototyping crazy inventions and innovative solutions to a variety of problems.
We're currently on the lookout for students who want to help us grow HackUConn 2018 to over 250 attendees and $25,000 in sponsorships. If you're interested in joining any of the below subcommitties, email us at: hackuconn@gmail.com
- Finance – Help with budgeting, bank accounts, vendor orders, and securing sponsorships. You're good with excel and talking on the phone with important people.
- Marketing – Help with either the hackuconn website, traditional event marketing, social media, making hype videos, or attracting mentors and judges. You can run a social media account, design a website, design a poster, or can talk in front of a classroom or on the phone with important people.
- Logistics – Help build out the master schedule, book the venue, coordinate all food, and coordinate the opening and closing ceremonies. You're a good planner and are very resourceful.
- User Experience – Help handle hacker interaction during the event, plan fun stuff like ice cream sundaes and snacks, handle registration, meeting sponsors and speakers, and judging. You're personable and love interacting with people and know how to have fun.
