  • 11/14 Film Screening and Discussion with Senator Flexer

    Come join the Women's center for a film screening of Zero Weeks followed by a discussion with State senator Mae Flexer.

    The Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF) is having screenings around the state to get people informed about the 2018 legislative agenda for trying to implement paid family leave in CT.

    Zero Weeks explores America's paid leave crisis. Following workers who are forced to choose between keeping their job or being with a new baby, beating cancer, or tending to an aging parent. The film makes an economic, medical, business and social case for paid family leave.

    The event will be held at the Women's Center, room 421 at the Student Union, on Tuesday November 14 from 6pm-8pm.
