Applications for UConn IDEA Grant summer funding are now open!
Funding of up to $4000 per student is available to support self-designed projects including:
- Artistic and creative endeavors
- Original research projects
- Entrepreneurial ventures and prototype development
- Service initiatives
- Other innovative, student-driven projects
Undergraduates in all majors at all UConn campuses can apply. Applications are accepted from individuals and from small groups who want to work collaboratively on a project.

The application deadline for summer 2018 funding is Monday, December 18, 2017. Academic year funding applications will open in February and will be accepted until March 13, 2018.
Students can schedule an advising appointment with program coordinator Melissa Berkey to discuss project ideas and learn more about the IDEA Grant program. Appointments can be scheduled via AdvApp (under “Enrichment Programs”) or through email (Melissa.berkey@uconn.edu). Phone and Skype appointments are available for students at the regional campuses or those studying abroad.
