Love to dance? Join Alima International Dance Association! Alima is a non-competitive, multi-cultural dance group. Our goal is to teach our members and the surrounding UConn community about cultural differences through the art of dance and music. Our dances tell stories of people from Africa, Haiti, India and other nations around the world. We also showcase hip-hop, lyrical and modern routines choreographed by our dancers. Alima celebrates diversity and and welcomes dancers of all abilities and backgrounds. There are NO auditions.
Our first practice in on 9/10 at 5pm at Hawley Armory. We just ask that you wear red and/or black attire you can move in, and bring some positive energy!
