Interested in political action, homelessness, and urban poverty? If any of these topics sound appealing, then this alternative break is perfect for you. During this week-long immersive service trip, we will be staying in the heart of Washington D.C. (only a few blocks from the White House) while tackling issues of urban poverty and homelessness in our nation's capital. Past trips have partnered with organizations such as A Wider Circle (AWC), where participants help the area with what the community needs. This is a great opportunity to gain new insight and learn about societal/political issues that are affecting us today.
